BrabenderCox Successfully Leads Bi-Partisan Effort to Get YES into Rock Hall!
For many years, music fans around the world were stunned as the legendary progressive rock band YES was passed over for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. BrabenderCox’s Chief Creative Officer, John Brabender, decided the best way to get the attention of music critics and Rock and Roll Hall voters… and change this injustice, was to form a bi-partisan campaign effort. This led to the birth of “Voices for Yes,” a collection of national Democrat and Republican political consultants starting a movement to help the band. The message was clear…if people who seem to never agree on anything join forces to show their mutual support, then you just have to pay attention. And boy did they!
The unusual alliance resulted in extensive national press, and more importantly, a groundswell of grassroots support for the bands induction. To further assist and grow the campaign effort, BrabenderCox created a series of edgy videos drawing focus on the band, as well as a documentary the highlighted the bands accomplishments and the made case for their inclusion into the Rock Hall.
